Massage Therapy
Myofascial Release / Fascia Release / Bowen Fascia Release
Working with the connective tissue / myofascia of the body.
Fascia is an elastic and often inelastic structural system of connective tissue that surrounds and holds every organ, blood vessels, bone and nerve fiber and muscle in place contributing to stability, flexibility, function and movement.
Connective tissue networks respond very well to a light and intelligent touch, using non-invasive intervention applied by your therapist. Pauses are also used during a treatment to allow for the body’s different systems to respond and relate through the central nervous system. This is designed to allow more space for our anatomy to move and behave in a more comfortable bio mechanical equilibrium, creating a physiological environment for old injuries also to heal and prevent future ailments.

* What I have witnessed since covid hitting our country, is how many people have come into my clinic with long standing respiratory issues and fatigue .... Working with the stress hormone and reducing this in my treatments and stimulating the kidney function to work with the adrenals and then diaphragm release, the response from the brain to kick start the lymphatic system has been quite something.. We have seen a great response and recovery, especially seen in the most vunerable age groups
Osteopathy
Osteopathy is a system of diagnosis and subsequent treatment of the body as a whole,
with a main focus on the musculoskeletal system.
Osteopaths use their diagnostic skills to test and understand the problem within that
system and the most likely cause. Using this information a treatment is outlined that
includes removal of the obstacles that impede normal structure and overall function.
The approach of an Osteopath depends on what type of problem the patient presents
with, they may use a variety of techniques to aid in the return to normal function,
including but not limited to:
• Soft Tissue Techniques (Including massage and stretching techniques)
• Mobilisation Techniques (Gradual improvement of a joint’s range of movement and
function)
• Manipulative Techniques (Including peripheral joints and the spine)
• Visceral Techniques (Treatment to the abdominal region and its connective tissues)
• Exercise Therapy and Rehabilitation
Reflexology
Reflexology is a touch therapy based on the theory that different points on the feet, lower legs, hands and face correspond with different areas of the body. The reflexologist simply works these reflected areas with their fingers aiming to help bring the body back into balance and to work as well as it can. There can be no doubt that reflexology provides a period of time for relaxation, where the client has one to one attention and supportive touch in an empathetic listening environment. Reflexology can be used safely alongside standard healthcare to promote better health.
Rolfing
Working with your body's connective tissue network to improve posture, movement and well-being.
Caitriona, detects and amends individual strain patterns that influence posture and motion. Everyday routines, traumas, illnesses, stress and emotional experience cause our bodies' connective tissues to generate discomfort and restrict movement. Gently interacting with the tissue matrix utilizing precise, non-invasive methods, relieving ailments and promoting easier movement.
Each session starts with a postural evaluation to identify areas of tension and establish objectives based on the client's individual needs. Addressing the connective tissue modifies not just the physical stance but also affects the emotional equilibrium and vitality. As the treatment progresses, clients experience reduced chronic aches, lower anxiety levels, and greater suppleness. Feeling emotionally centered and vibrant, clients experience an increased range of motion and stronger posture.
Her encounter with Rolfing started in Dublin due to persistent back pain that negatively affected her plans to pursue a career in nursing. Finding solace and enhanced wellness through Rolfing, she was committed to understand the components of a fulfilling life to include physical health, mental clarity and robust social connections.
Caitriona, completed her studies in 2006 with a Rolfer Certification from the European Rolfing Association and Neural Mobilisation certification in 2016. She is dedicated to life long learning. Over the past 20 years she has built a successful client base in Ireland and Luxembourg.
